FAQs & Fees
If you have additional questions, I’m happy to chat!
Are you currently accepting new clients?
Yes! I am currently accepting clients for individual psychotherapy services.
Where do you see clients?
I am licensed to see clients located in Washington, D.C. and Virginia. I offer a limited number of in-person therapy appointments in Washington, D.C. on Fridays, and complete the rest of my appointments virtually using a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform.
What are your rates?
My current rate is $200 per 50-minute session. Once our session is complete I simply charge the card on file and schedule your next appointment.
Do you accept insurance?
I am considered an out-of-network provider. I can provide you with a special invoice called a superbill to help you obtain reimbursement from your insurance provider. Clients who choose to submit superbills are often reimbursed between 50% and 90% of the cost of the session. You may wish to call your insurance company to ask about your deductible and any out-of-network benefits offered.
What are the benefits of seeing an out-of-network provider?
Operating as an out-of-network provider allows our treatment to be focused on you and your needs without the limitations of what an insurance company deems “medically necessary”. It allows us to set our own cadence and optimize privacy.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
Yes. I reserve space in my caseload for free or reduced-cost therapy. Please reach out to inquire about reduced-fee availability.
What will our consultation call be like?
This consultation will be a free phone call lasting between 15 and 30 minutes. During this call you will get a better sense of my personality and my approach to therapy. I will get a chance to hear about your needs and goals for therapy. This is also a great opportunity to ask questions!
If we decide we’d like to keep working together, I will direct you to a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform where you will complete the necessary paperwork and schedule your first official session. In compliance with the No Surprises Act I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate to help you estimate the total cost of services over time.
If I don’t seem like the right fit for you, I’ll help you find the provider that is! Easy peasy.
